Processing and output
Read track metadata without re-encoding. Codec support varies by source file.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. Selected video, audio, subtitles and fonts are processed in this browser. They are not submitted to a video processing server.
What settings does Video Metadata Viewer offer?
Read track metadata without re-encoding. Codec support varies by source file.
Can I inspect a video that my browser cannot play?
Often yes. Reading a supported container's track metadata does not require decoding its pictures. A readable codec name does not mean that the browser can play that codec.
What does the displayed bitrate mean?
The overall bitrate is estimated from file size and duration and includes the container and audio. It is different from a selected export bitrate and does not by itself measure visual quality.
Can I process large files on a phone?
Modern browsers are supported. Combined inputs are limited to 300 MB on desktop and 100 MB on phones or low-memory devices, with lower default output resolution. Merge up to 8 clips. Short clips work best; transitions, compression and conversion can take time.
