Does my video get uploaded?

No. Selected video, audio, subtitles and fonts are processed in this browser. They are not submitted to a video processing server.

What settings does Mute Video offer?

The output is an MP4. A compatible source video codec is required for stream copying.

Will removing audio reduce video quality?

The mute tool copies the encoded picture stream and removes audio. This avoids video re-encoding when the original codec is compatible with the MP4 output container.

Can I restore the removed soundtrack?

Keep the original file if you may need its soundtrack later. The exported muted video does not contain the removed audio track.

Can I process large files on a phone?

Modern browsers are supported. Combined inputs are limited to 300 MB on desktop and 100 MB on phones or low-memory devices, with lower default output resolution. Merge up to 8 clips. Short clips work best; transitions, compression and conversion can take time.
